Help people find the right help, not just any help.

In BC - and several other provinces, anyone can call themselves a counsellor. For people in crisis, that means navigating an unregulated, confusing system with no guarantee they’ll land in the right care. The result? People waste time, money, and trust — and sometimes get hurt.

Let’s Talk Access is changing that.

We’ve been building and are now stewarding a literacy-first model that helps people understand themselves, the therapy landscape, and the system’s limitations — so they can make informed, safe, and effective choices. But to make it real, we need you.

Why Now

Power of
Partnership.

This isn’t just funding a project — it’s joining a movement to transform how people find and access mental health care.

When you back Let’s Talk Access, you’re:

Investing in scalable, community-owned infrastructure adaptable across cultures and contexts

Supporting a model that blends Western and collectivist values so care can be chosen, not imposed

Shifting power from institutions and gatekeepers to individuals and grassroots communities

Helping prove and share impact in real time through public storytelling and lived-experience voices

Partnership here means your contribution will live beyond a single cohort — you’ll be part of seeding a blueprint that others can adopt and adapt globally.

Why this is different

Filling the Gap

Closes the pre-therapy
gap in a way that no one else addresses - real people, real stories, real voices.

Creating Tools,
not Dependency

Centers literacy over
reliance—equipping people with the confidence to choose for themselves.

Lower-Cost,
Higher-Impact Tech

Uses lightweight, affordable tools instead of costly, locked-down platforms.

Creating Knowledge
in Real-Time

Co-creates with lived experience: the group generates insight on the spot, shared through a 24-episode podcast and free Access Guide.
The access fund
Every participant in this year’s 12-week cohort will receive $2,000 toward therapy once they complete the program. They’ve done the work to figure out what they need — the Fund ensures they can act on it. Additional donations keep the Fund open for grassroots groups and partners to apply for their own communities, multiplying the reach and impact.

Other Ways to Fund the Movement

Your support doesn’t just cover the Access Fund — it fuels the whole ecosystem: Paying the team and guest experts, Producing and editing the podcast, Delivering the group curriculum, & Creating and distributing the Access Guide. This money keeps us moving forward and guarantees this moves from a good idea to a movement for change. We need your help to make that happen.

Donate Directly

Back the Work. Fund the Gap.

We’re raising $215,000 to turn Season 2 into a public resource. That’s 43,000 people chipping in the cost of a coffee. Every contribution fuels care, tools, and education that the system doesn’t provide.
